Highveld Environmental Control Services (HECS) is a specialist provider of Mine Ventilation Engineering and Occupational Hygiene solutions to the South African mining industry.
Established in 1996, HECS supports coal, gold, chrome and industrial mining operations with structured monitoring, ventilation design and statutory reporting aligned with the Mine Health and Safety Act (Act 29 of 1996).
Our systematic approach combines accurate field measurements, compliant reporting and practical recommendations, helping mines maintain safe working environments and audit-ready compliance standards.

Highveld Environmental Control Services (HECS) began as a small consultancy providing part-time Ventilation Engineering and Occupational Hygiene Services to mines in Mpumalanga.
